The Determination Of Various Organochlorine Pesticide Residues In Chinese Herbal Medicines And Soil With Solid Phase Extraction And Capillary Gas Chromatography

This paper consists of four chapters. In Chapter One, the basal mode, principle, methodology, applications and prospects of the solid phase extraction technique are reviewed. It is emphasized that solid phase extraction is used for pesticide residues analyses. In Chapter Two, the Solid-Phase Extraction and the capillary GC method was introduced for determining thirteen organochlorine pesticide residues in traditional Chinese herbal Belamcanda chinensis,Paeoniae lactiflora,Angelica dahurica,Arisaema erubescens,Fructus arctii,Anemarrhena asphodeloides,Platycodon grandiflorum sample .The organochlorine pesticide were extracted from herb with mixed solvents(acetone+ n-hexane), cleaned up by Florisil solid-phase extraction column, separated by capillary column SPB-5 (30m×0.25mm×0.25μm ) and detected by ECD. The average recoveries were within87.3%～102.3% (RSD 1.3～6.8%). In Chapter Three, the Solid-Phase Extraction and the capillary GC method was introduced for determination of organochlorine pesticide residues in soil. The organochlorine pesticide residues were extracted from soil with mixed solvents (acetone+ n-hexane), cleaned up by Florisil solid-phase extraction column,separated by capillary column SPB-5 (30m×0.25mm×0.25μm ) and detected by ECD. The average recoveries were within 94.2%～105.3% (RSD 1.1～7.6%). In Chapter Four, The rapid and low cost capillary GC method was introduced for the determination of BHC and DDT pesticide residues in vegetables. BHC and DDT were rapidly extracted from vegetable with mixed solvents (n-hexane +acetone) by rapid mixer, cleaned up by concentrated sulfuric acid,concentrated by nitrogen evaporator, separated by capillary column(SUPELCO)and detected by ECD.
