Chemical management is one of the important manage methods in sugar mill. At present, the problems of analysis exist in our country's sugar mills are the slow speed, lagging manufacture, bad recurrence rate, and polluting environment. It gives negative effects on product quality and clean production. So how to improve the method and accelerate rate of analysis, to improve the product quality and reduce environment pollution are the main subjects of technical management in sugar mill.In this paper, the near-infrared spectroscopy is studied in applying to cane sugar industry. The mixed juice, clarified juice, thick juice and white granulated sugar are analyzed by using near-infrared spectroscopy. Through selecting the different wave band and mathematical methods, then set up better pertinent predicted mathematical models, and applied to quick-analysis in sugar production. The main contents as follows:1 Choosing different spectral pretreatments(Standard Normal Variate . (SNV), Detrending (D), first and second Derivative), spectral ranges and regression methods(Modified Partial Least Squares (MPLS), Partial Least Squares (PLS),Principal Component Regression (PCR)) and setting up the predicted mathematical models;2 Analyzing the between product(mixed juice, clarified juice, thick juice) by off-line NIR spectroscopy and setting up the predicted mathematical models;3 Analyzing the white granulated sugar by on-line NIR spectroscopy and setting up the predicted mathematical models;4 Comparing the definition between NIR spectroscopy and general analysis method.Experiment results show that the pertinence is good between NIR spectroscopy and the chemical analysis and the standard deviation of predict is small. So we think the NIR spectroscopy can be used for analysis in sugar mills, which has great economic benefit, extensive prospect and value of popularization.
