The environment problem has been paid more attention in the modern industry society. The people have already realized the importance of sustainable development which plays a positive role to the development of the national economy. Many disasters such as wall falling, caving, earthquake, landslide, surface subsidence, which result from underground mining, have caused large people casualty and equipment accident. As one of main environment disaster, mining subsidence has initiated a series of problems including ground cracking, landslide, building inclination, etc. Therefore, it is important to prevent and cure the mining disasters. This article takes Hebei Xing long gypsum mine as an example, the finite element analysis is used to study the subsidence. It is proved that the sublevel caving method is feasible to be employed in Xing long gypsum mine through the analysis of plan disturbing, deformation and limit sinkage. It is subjected that the mine enterprise improve the mining technology and employ the new mining method to make rational use of natural resources and maintain the ecological equilibrium, thus the enterprise can achieve the goal of sustainable development.
