in wood processing industry, because of the property of processing material,production technology and equipment characteristic, the problem which exist in the aspect of labour safe problem is very outstanding.for a long time,the human-machine interface design of veneer lathe in china only rely on experience or copy foreign products plan, those research lack adequate theoretical basis. besides, our country issue the standard " the Chinese adult size of human body" ( GB/T10000-1988 )in December 10,1988. the standard is away from more than 20 years,and the data is out-of-date , so it has been far to not satisfy the design needs of industrial products plan, updating equipment and safe protection and so on. Combination ergonomics develops present situation and tendency, " found on people " is eternal concept in the design of veneer lathe in the future.All design must follow the principle of " found on people " ,which means the operation of veneer lathe must accord with the physiological and psychological characteristic,and make person operate conveniently ,react accurate , reduce mistake , raise working efficiency. more and more emphasize the pleasantance in the course of using , create the most comfortable working environment of convenience and safety for operator.Based on ergonomics theory and its design principles,after doing much experimental test and theoretical analysis,this paper mainly studies on three human-machine interfaces of veneer lathe BQ1127/15/B,the veneer lathe modelling size parameter, the display human-machine interface and the control human-machine interface.Meanwhile, by experiments and theoretical analysis, this paper puts forward optimization parameter and scheme , and apply theory of fuzzy mathematics to evaluate the goodness of the veneer lathe modelling size parameter , the display/the control human-machine interfaces.the key of raising the safety and the operating comfortableness is to optimize veneer lathe modelling size parameter and the display/the control human-machine interfaces. this is the major research goal of the paper , specific research work has following conclusion:(1) specifically, the writter options a part of group to carry out the measure of human body and reaches the size data sheet of human body of this group .the data sheet have offered basis for the application of the size of human body;(2) the data sheet is used to carry out optimization research of the major size parameter in related to comfortableness and the safety in veneer lathe,the research mainly focus on control panel,the veneer gather panel as well as protection fence , shield and protection screen,and put forward specific optimization scheme;(3) utilize principle and design theory of human-machine interface to analyse existing problem of the information display equipment in veneer lathe,apply the information display equipment of design and arrange theory to analyse the display element and the space layout of display element plate, and put forward specific optimization scheme;(4) utilize principle and design theory of human-machine interface to analyse existing problem of the contorl equipment in veneer lathe,apply the control equipment of design and arrange theory to analyse the control element and the space layout of control element plate, and put forward specific optimization scheme;(5) have developed the manipulate force test installation of control equipment and testing,have reached the manipulate force needed in operation.it offers basis for the optimization and Evaluation of control equipment.(6)utilize the theoretical and basic principle of fuzzy mathematics, have founded statified vague synthesize to judge systematic model. and use The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to determined each appraisal factor the weight, meanwhile,use the man-machine project scientific theory or principle to determined various factors target parameter, And introduce The goodness-of-fit of human-machine interface, then finally to carry on the human-machine interface synthesis evaluation after optimizing the veneer lathe.This paper is the first time to apply ergonomics theory and principle to carry out optimization research of veneer lathe.it has embodied the high unification of human-machine relation, accords with tendency of times development,and has offered foundation for further study. especially,it gives important guidance meaning for human-machine interface comprehensive Evaluation and the ergonomics optimization design of other woodwork machinery.
