In recent years, wood material industry of China has maintained a ferocious momentum of development. Industry scale is keeping expanding while the production line is transforming to be automation and intelligent day by day. Our country’s forest coverage rate is seriously lower than that of the world, but the plate material consumption is very large. Wood goes to every household and company as the material of furniture, paper, and decoration materials and so on. According to relevant statistics, national annual consumption of forest recourses is up to 400 million m3, and resources deficit is about 100 million m3. With the reduction of global forest recourses and the increasing of wood demand, the demand of wood as a raw material in various fields is gradually expanded, and relevant companies in many countries are investing more manpower and resources to develop the new technology of wood processing.This paper focuses on optimization and modification for the structure of wood cutting machine,so as improve the quatrty and efficiency.meannlnie lower the cost the cause of quality problems of uneven thickness in wood rotary cutting process is analyzed in this paper.Wood processing working procedure of rotary cutting process is studied.For more effective, materials with higher coefficient of utilization the whole processing line is built.Through the analysis of various factors in the process of calculating rotary cutting to select and improve the structure of log-core veneer lathe.The life of the veneer lathe and the cutting tool is prolonged. It elaborates the rotary cutting principle, main technical parameters and implementation method in detail from the three-dimensional model of log-core veneer lathe.Contrast and analyse the veneer lathe with axis and log-core veneer lathe in structure and relative merits.Some of wood rotary cutting equipment, such as veneer repair machine has also been optimized in structure,and the good effects are obtained. The structure is analyzed and improved based on the shortcomings of the existing structure of veneer repair machine.The three-dimensional model of veneer repair machine is built. The frame welded pieces on veneer repair machine are analyzed by finite element analysis. improved optimized machine effectively increases the range of veneer in defective wood.Based on the above research, the entire production line is optimized and designed from the logs to veneer. The whole process realized fully automated device configuration from the cutting of logs to the stacking of finished product wood, which improves the production efficiency, reduces the labor costs, improves the production quality of timber, extends the life of equipment and makes the mechanization, automation, intelligent of modern plates production line fully realized. Chuck-non chuck combined veneer lathe were conceived and built in three-dimensional model. which is more advanced, intelligent and effective. This essay has a certain reference value in manufacturing the similar products.
