| Several common deicing salts are used as the materials in this research. The corrosion effect of deicing salts in various concentration to the steel is mensurated by immersion test,method of weight loss,polarization curves,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Then we get the effect of deicing salts to the steel corrosion velocity.Corrosion of deicing salts to steel in natural condition is simulated. Corrosion velocity of different concentration deicing salts to steel is mensurated by the method of alternate immersion. Also the corrosion surface is observed in SEM. The result shows that steel corrodes light in the concentration of deicing salts between 15% and 20%, however, it corrodes severely in the concentration of 3.5%.Corrosion inhibitors are important to deicing salts. Immersion test is used to study the effect of single composition inhibitor's concentration to the efficiency of system inhibitors. The dosage and percentage of composite corrosion inhibitors which inhibit corrosion best in sodium chloride solution is confirmed by immersion test,method of weight loss,polarization curves,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.Deicing salts are improved by sprinkling corrosion inhibitors on the surface. Compared deicing salts improved to common deicing salts, the former manifest less corrosive than the later. |
