There are a lot of processes of composite casting with the sameness to integrate different capability material to content demand. But sometimes one only material is difficult to work under the adverse circumstance. at the same time casting surface alloying can bring well obdurability in the center and special property on the surface.This subject aims to improve service span of oven using on burning machine through cast on the surface of cast steel with SI. The characteristic of microstructure and behavior of composite layer with Si by casting were expatiated, by using SEM, EDS and hardness analysis instrument.The results of this study shows: it's possible to form ferrosilicon compound layer on the surface of ZG230 - 450 material by casting technology. When taken Coating method, coating water lass binder before brush ferrosilicon dry powder can obtain good composite layer with surfaces level again first, no air vent, and the combine place between mother material and composite layer is saw-tooth type machine integrate the state.The iron matrlx composites in face is produced which have he properties such as :resisting,abrasion,oxidation,and erosion .This is a simple economic and promising process.
