Three dimensional surface measurement has been widely used for machine vision,industry monitoring, biomedicine, real object visualization etc. Currentle, the hotspots of the Three dimensional surface measurement are mostly focused on realizingrapid,high-accuracy, non-contact measure. Phase shift profilometry (PSP) based onfringe projection is one of the popular non-contact full-field 3-D measurementmethods. It is very suitable for realizing rapid and high-accuracy measure, because ithave some advantages, such as easy to data processing by computer,insusceptible tosurface reflection ratio of the object,having highly measurement accuracy, and so on.The paper introduces the latest development of the 3D measuring techniques andpredicts the tendency of the 3D measurement.This paper discusses the theory aboutthe method of phase shift profilometry systematically and study the key techniques ofphase shift profilometry in detail. Also we develop the 3D measuring digitalapparatus based on the theory of PSP.This paper overview the method of 3D measuring techniques and summarize therelative merits and usage of and them firstly. This paper expatiate the principle of PSPand deduce the formula of height, and give the example of PSP.In this paper, we study Unwrapping phase and shape integration approach indetail. First, it discuss the basic question of the Unwrapping phase based on sudy ofmonograph and literature in recent years. This paper discusses how the unwrappedphase comes into being, describes the processing of the unwrapping phase.Discussing the path forecasting unwrapping based on region, and study on how toimprove on it. In this paper we also study several familiar phase-unwrappingmethods and probe into the conditions in which each phase-unwrapping method isapplied.This paper goes into research about 3-D shape integration approach and putforward two kinds of methods to achieve 3-D integration of the large object's shape.One is to connection. the separated distorted grating image to resume the wholeprofile of the object. Another is to resume firstly the profile of all parts of the objectseparatedly and get the whole profile through 3-D integration. Lastly. We design an digital 3-D measuring apparatus based studying on theory of PSP.The innovation of the apparatus is adopting new method of image acquisition—imageacquisition by USB CCD camera based on study on achievements of others. Slovingthe problem of image card and CCD is separate by image card built-in CCD camera.And the apparatus is more intelligent and convenient for manipulation because it iscontrolled by SCM. In. the end of the paper, the author has a summary and prospectabout the task, and show the circuit diagram of the control board.
