Choosing SEBS and PP as the basic materials, the mechanical properties of modifying SEBS elastomer was systematically studied after the production of blending SEBS/Oil, oil-extended SEBS /PP and oil-extended SEBS/PP/filler. The conformation structure inspected and the relationship of conformation structure and properties were preliminarily established via TG, DSC, SEM to analysis.1. The effects of different rubber oil and contents on the mechanical property of SEBS blends are studied. The result that KP6030 oil of modifying SEBS were optimized, such as the tensile strength 3.73MPa, elongatin at break>800 %, the ratio of optimization 3:2. At the same time, the effect of different oils on the stability of SEBS.2. The effects of PP and contents on the mechanical property of SEBS blends are studied. The result that SM256 as the modify, the mechanical properties of modifying SEBS blends quickly were progressed, the hardness from 38A to 54A, the tensile strength 3.73MPa to 11.67MPa, and so on. The ratio of optimization 9:1.3. The effects of different fillers and contents on the mechanical property of SEBS blends. The results indicated that the whole of the mechanical properties of blends were optimized for calcium carbonate.4. In order to enhance the mechanical properties of blends, different coupling agents cause a large different in mechanical properties of the CaCO3 reinforced SEBS. The results indicated that when the mass fraction of HW-201 is 0.5%, the tensile strength, elongation at break and tensile stress at 300% extension of with compound are increased, compared with those of compound which are no treated with HW-201, CaCO3 after surface treatment with HW-201 increase the properties of compound because of a good interface between CaCO3 and SEBS. However, most CaCO3 are drawn out from SEBS basement if they are not treated with HW-201. The interfaces of CaCO3/SEBS become fatal weakness and reduce the properties of compound.5. The effects of compatibilizer on the structure and properties of the PP-SEBS were investigated. The results of SEM demonstrate that after adding the compatibilizer, the particles of CaCO3 are wrapped by PP-SEBS matrix and the adhesion between the two phase is improved obviously, and improve the mechanical properties of blend, decrease the tension set value caused by the filler.
