Semi-axle shaft sleeve is an important security production to the back-bridge ofCar. Semi-axle shaft sleeve need endure the weight of whole bodywork and its'cargoes. Meanwhile, it still endures much complicated cross-variety stress because ofthe varying road. So, the quality of Semi-axle shaft sleeve effects directlydrive-security.The traditional loose tooling forging to Semi-axle shaft sleeve hasn't completedthe aim to Near Net Shape Forming of forging.At present, lots of scholars areengaged in studying Semi-anxi shaft sleece by rolling forging, warm-extrusion,hot-extrusion and precision forging. But these new methods have not sloved the highcost and overfull craft process.Precision forging can make material depressed stress in three directions. So itcan also attenuate crystal grains, improve density and decrease microcosmic defects.It can also make metallic fibre streamline more continuous and symmetrical and leadto the improvement of mechanical. This paper is to study the Semi-axle shaft sleevewhich is not only D/d=2.5 but also its flange connecting two unequal vertical sleeves.So, the more strict request is necessary to forming craft. The first, this pape analyzeson various forming technologies applied in domestic and overseas in recent years.Thesecond, its model was made by Pro/E technology. The last, the forming process wassimulated by Deform-3D software. The conversion of the fields during the process ofmetal forming were investigated, the tendency of metallic flow was forecasted andthe rules how various items affect the forming load, metallic flow. Confirm theoptimization craft and the structure of male and female dies. Finally some physicalexperiments are made by the result of optimization. Contrasting the numericalsimulation result and the physical experiments, satisfied results are attained.The theory of precision forging and technology of simulation are integratedthrough this research, which develops the new crafts of extrusion and precisionforging and helps to shorten developing periods, prolong life-span of die, and cutdown the cost, etc. The progeny of the research can provide accordance for otherbevel gears' producing.
