The axle-shaft sleeve is an important part to the engineering machinery drive. As the wheel axle support, it endures much complicated cross-variety stress because of the varying environment. The quality of axle-shaft sleeve effects the safe operation of the engineering machinery. The traditional loose tooling forging to axle-shaft sleeve make the high cost and overfull craft process, it hasn't completed the aim to Near Net Shape forming of forging. The hot extrusion technology can make material depressed stress in three directions, so it compact interior issue and improve the mechanical properties of work piece, which has been the direction of plastics working.The simulation of metal plastic deforming is a kind of modern analysis methods which integrate the theory of precision forging and technology of simulation. The product with high quality could be got at lower cost in short period by the simulation of metal deforming. The entire process of metal deforming could be described, simultaneously; the die and forging technology could be improved in timely with analyzing the reasons of work-piece's flaws, so it is an important means of developing new forging process.Based on analyzing the domestic and foreign research status, this paper excogitates the hot extrusion technology of axle-shaft sleeve. The 3-D geometry modeling of axle-shaft sleeve and the primary mould was made by Pro/E software. The three forming process was simulated by DEFORM-3D software. Through numerical simulation of finite element method, this paper investigated the tendency of metallic flow, the forming of the deformation rate, the forming load, equivalent strain, and equivalent stress.et. Based on the result of the FEM simulation, the optimization craft of the semi-axle shaft parts has been stipulated and the structure of mould has been designed. Meanwhile, the paper analyzes the reason of uneven thickness in the hot extrusion process. The new rotating platform with adjustable speed and the circuit control system was designed which decreases coaxial error by the way of changing the motion could state of the mould.This research enrich the content and theory of extrusion, develop hot extrusion precision technology of axle shaft sleeve, and design the new rotating platform. The progeny of the research can provide accordance for extrusion the similar products.
