1,10-phenanthroline derivatives are the important kind ofN-polyhetrocycle compounds. The complexes of 1,10-phenanthroline havebeen attracting much attention from chemists in recent years because of theiroptical activities. Most of 1,10-phenanthroline derivatives can be used as thereagents, catalysts in the super-molecular, pharmaceutical and biologicalreactions.Based On the analysis of bibliographerandevaluation of ttie principlesof different processes, the serie of novel 1,10-phenanthroline derivatives, thecomplexes of 1,10-phenanthroline DAPcDOD and the poly-schiff basecomplexes DAPcDOD-Fe2+, DAPcDOD-Ni2+, DAPcDOD-Co2+weresynthesized starting from 1,10-phenanthroline and other reagents. Themolecular structure of the compounds synthesized was identified by UV, IR,1H NMR and Elementary Analysis.5,6-diamino-1,10-phenanthroline were synthesized starting from1,10-phenanthroline with the reactions of oxidation, ammoximationand reduction. The process parameters such as the molar ratio of reactantsand catalyst were evaluated experimentally. The yield of the product was 68.0ï¼….5,6-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline. were synthesized starting from1,10-phenanthroline with the reactions of nitration, cyclic and reduction. Theprocess parameters such as the molar ratio of reactants and catalyst wereevaluated experimentally. Especially, The yield of the reduction was 83.7ï¼…with the N2H4/Ni as the reduction reagent.The UV-absorption spectra, electronic emission spectra andfluorescence properties of the complexes of 1,10-phenanthroline DAPcDODand the poly-complexes DAPcDOD-Fe2+, DAPcDOD-Ni2+, DAPcDOD-Co2+synthesized were calculated and analyzed. The results show that thefluorescence properties of the poly-complexes are better and thosepoly-schiff base complexes can be used as the organic fluorescence materials.
