| Structure is the unique place of knitwear, which characteristic not only influence elasticity and thickness of fabric, but also the figure of knitwear. Furthermore, its various appearance has great influence on the whole feeling and style of knitwear. Giving full play to the decoration function of structure is the effective means of promoting knitwear more fashion, but the development of structure which is in terms of knitting craft in the past have no clear direction, it result in a lot of new variety can not apply in knitwear widely and domestic designer can not apply structure skillfully because of shortage of professional knowledge. Therefore, the paper has analyzed the affect on knitwear's style of different structure from its appearance, By studying, it is expected to offer certain guidance for knitwear designer and the direction of structure's development for knitting designer too. Combines popular the paper summing up textures briefly like unsmoothly, hole, color, lotus leaf, etc., practising to knit different structure on knit machine, laying emphasis on analyzing the texture characteristic and change space of structure, also adopting typical picture illustrating its application at knitwear, and pointing out the essential part in the innovative design. In addition, only considering structure's variation does not have applicability, so the paper also analysis the optimization combine of yarn and structure, the affect of structure on knitwear's figure, and other element's leading effects on structure design. Through analyzing, some train of thought has been put forward on structure design of fashionable knitwear. Basing on this, the author has done some practice.
