As the pinnacle of Chinese furniture history,Ming-style furniture has a unique aesthetic system and exquisite craftsmanship different from Western furniture.Ming-style furniture is infused with traditional Chinese cultural wisdom,and the materials used in the modeling structure are also extremely sophisticated,and precious hardwoods are mostly used as furniture raw materials.In recent years,my country's awareness of environmental protection has continued to increase,and the country has clearly stipulated restrictions on the import and export of timber resources.Therefore,it is more important to make the best use of precious wood,and to use wood rationally to save wood resources.This thesis takes Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stool as an example and applies the finite element method to Ming-style stool furniture to analyze the relationship between its structural strength and component texture direction,and proposes the optimization of Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stool Design.With the aim of retaining the classic structure and appearance,by changing the direction of the texture of the selected components,a Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stool with reasonable structure,reasonable materials,less waste,and high strength is designed.The thesis can be divided into two experimental parts:wood texture characteristic value analysis and furniture structure strength finite element analysis.In the early stage,I read a lot of literature about Ming-style furniture,and selected Zambian red sandalwood as experimental materials based on the actual situation of the research.The wood texture of different positions of the same material and the same side of Zambian red sandalwood is collected,and the texture feature value is extracted and analyzed using image processing technology,and the difference law of the wood texture feature value of different locations is obtained.Then,according to the current national standards for the determination of mechanical properties of wood,a test plan for the mechanical properties of Zambian red sandalwood was developed,and the material property requirements were determined according to the later finite element simulation analysis platform.According to literature data such as ergonomics,the dimensions and mortise types of Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stools are formulated,and appropriate geometric modeling software is selected to establish a furniture model and input to the finite element analysis platform.Later,the furniture finite element model was loaded and restrained accordingly,and the overall structural strength of the Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stool was analyzed,and the law of the influence of the texture direction of the component materials on the structural strength was found,and finally the Ming-style waistless stool was obtained.Optimized plan for straight-leg square stool.Use the finite element software ANSYS Workbench to analyze the overall structural strength of the parameterized model of the Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stool.When a vertical downward load is applied to the stool surface,when the Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stool has the leg and foot texture direction When the heartwood is outward,the grain direction is upward,the heartwood is upward in the direction of the tooth texture,and the heartwood is upward in the direction of the border grain,the total deformation and equivalent stress of the square stool when subjected to a downward load are the smallest.When the texture directions of the components are all opposite,the total deformation and equivalent stress of the square stool are the largest,and the structural strength of the square stool is the worst.Changing the direction of any one of the coordinate axes will increase the deformation and stress,and reduce the strength and stability of the structure.Optimize the material and texture direction of the leg,foot,crossbar,teeth,frame and panel of the Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stool.The finite element software ANSYS Workbench calculates that the Ming-style waistless straight-leg square stool has the best material selection.The texture direction makes the selection of Ming-style stool furniture more scientific and reasonable.
