By means of the features of sodium alginate alcohol solution at some concentration dropped into the Ca2+,Fe3+solution change to form gels, sodium alginate– calcium gels, sodium alginate– calcium–ferric gels and sodium alginate–ferric gels were prepared to treat phosphorous, tannic acid and gallic acid wastewater. The removal efficiency and characteristics of phosphorous by different gel beads were studied. The mixture with humic acid solution and phosphorus were also discussed. The experimental results showed that the gel beads had very strong adsorption of phosphorous complex solution. This method was simple with high efficiency, time saving and less attached to the effect of pH. With treating 200mL wastewater containing phosphorous of 50mg/L under the same condition, the removal rate of sodium alginate– calcium–ferric gels reached 50%, less than that of sodium alginate–ferric gels of 97%.In acid condition, sodium alginate– calcium–ferric gel beads was very steady, while it could be easily decomposed in alkaline condition. The adsorption behavior of phosphorous with alginate– calcium–ferric gel beads might describe well with Langmuir, the greatest adsorption capacity was 1428.6mg/g. The best concentration of alginate was 2%. Besides, alginate– calcium–ferric gel beads could selectivity adsorb phosphorous in water containing phosphorous and humic acid simultaneity. The adsorption of tannic acid and gallic acid in water with gel beads were also studied. The results showed that in 50 mL simulation solution containing tannic acid and gallic acid, the adsorption efficiencies with sodium alginate– calcium–ferric gels and sodium alginate–ferric gels were better than that with sodium alginate– calcium gels. After 120min, the removal rate of tannic acid and gallic acid with sodium alginate–ferric gels reached above 97% and 99% respectively;and that of tannic acid and gallic acid with sodium alginate– calcium–ferric gels reached above 84% and 97% respectively. In a word, new type purificant in water has high removal efficiency of phosphate, tannic acid and gallic acid, and it can be applied in different water bodies in treating phosphate. Meanwhile it won't bring toxic pollution for its treated water.
