Many serious risks, such as fire, explosion, toxic gas leaking exist and in petrochemicalcorporations. Petrochemical produce process is also dangers. A scientific risk assessment iseffective to safe administrators by helping them on response accidents. A full and clearresearch on fire, explosion and toxic gas leaking, safety process risk assessment inPetrochemical Corporation has been done in this paper, and a correlative software system hasbeen programmed by Visual Basic 6.0 and Oracle 8i database system according to theresearch.In this paper, following fruits were achieved.(1) Designed a software system of risk assessment of fire, explosion in PetrochemicalCorporation. The system can output a two-dimensional figure of death area, heavy hurtarea and flesh wound area. Meanwhile, casualties, downtime and property loss can beassessed by the system.(2) Designed a software system of risk assessment of toxic gas leaking for PetrochemicalCorporation. The Toxic Load made out the risky areas and toxic gas concentration withboth concentration's variety and human evacuating are considered in its arithmeticprocess. The system can output a two-dimensional table that makes people easily drawsthe risky areas.(3) Safety for petrochemical production process was researched and assess software wasdeveloped to simplify excessive assess processes and complex calculations by VisualBasic 6.0 and Oracle 8i database in this paper. The Multi-factor and multi-level risks wasassessed by fuzzy comprehensive assess method which is suitable to the fuzzy character.An example was taken to show the assess method and the developing ideas. Six first-classindices and their own second-class ones were listed to calculate the safety level based onthe scores given by experts.(4) A database was built to record the dangerous materials' characters and score according toexperts. By using this database system, we can search, insert, delete the data and use thedata to do some calculating.(5) The system is developed with the method of mimetic windows; it has excellence ininterface, operation, function, and running speed. This system can be used for safety produce and scientific management in PetrochemicalCorporation. It is a safeguard to the corporation's standardization, scientific and systematicmanagement.
