In China, coal is the most important development energy. Coal will be the primarilyenergy for a very long time. In coal mine, the gas explosion accident results in the biggesteconomic losses and most casualties, and it also caused the greatest social badly impact. Thegas explosion accident was still restricts the production safety in coal industry.On face ofClose-Fire-District, in order to prevent a gas explosion to avoid greater losses,we mustanalysis the cause of the explosion and development the control measures.Based on the theories such as safety science, mine ventilation science, non-linear sciencesystem engineering, etc, this paper research on the following issue by combination oftheoretical analysis and literature research.The base characteristics of gas explosion accidentsuch as gas accumulation and location of explosion accident was analyzed and classifiedthrough the main impact factors of the gas source and a large number of coal mine gasexplosion accidents. The characteristics and law of the gas explosion accident and law of thegas explosion accident were analyzed based on gas explosion accidents from1988to2010.Combination of the Cause of the accident theory, the"human-machine-environment-management" model of the accident evolution of coal minegas explosion was established, the unsafe human behavior and the unsafe machine state wasanalysis. Nonlinear characteristics of accident evolution of gas explosion were analyzed basedon accident causation theory. On the face of closing-fire-area,gas explosion risk assessmentand safety evaluation method was put forward.According to the evolution of gas explosionaccident analysis model, The classification structure and name of various level indexes wasintroduced in detail. Based on analytic hierarchy process and gray theory, the non-linearmulti-gray-level risk assessment mode was established.Generally speaking, the research on face of colsing-fire-area gas explosion accidentevolvement characteristic and law, as well as the effective accident prevention and control theory and technology will helpful to establish long-acting safety mechanisms, to improve thesituation of coal mine, to advance the field of mine safety production of scientific andtechnological progress, to improve coal mine’s disaster prevention and to promote thesustainable development of the coal industry.
