In this thesis, we reported ZrCl4 and BiCl3 catalyzed hydroamination of alkenes and the synthesis of two titanium imido compounds. The reaction mechanisms of the hydroamination reactions were also explored. They are expressed in details as follows:In the first part, ZrCl4-catalyzed hydroaminations of norbornene and styrene, were reported. The reaction mechanism was investigated. In the second part, BiCl3-catalyzed hydroamination of alkene was reported. The results were compared with the other Lewis acid catalyzed hydroamination of alkenes. The reaction mechanism was also explored. In the third part, we reported the syntheses of two titanium imido complexes ([Ti(NtBu)(dap)Cl(py)2],[Ti((NtBu)(dap)Me(py)2]) with Hdap(N,N-dimethyl(1H-pyrr-ol-2-yl)methanamine) as ligand and the characterizations of the complexes by NMR and X-ray crystal diffraction.
