Pneumatic conveying, which use compressed air to transport solid particles through a pipeline is an important operation in a significant number of chemical and process industries for transporting materials such as pharmacy, food,chemical,rubber,cement,power etc. Pneumatic conveying may be differentiated into several categories, such as dilute phase conveying suspension dense-phase and slug flow depending on particle properties, mass flow rate and conveying velocity.Along with the development of rubber industry in recent years, more and more pneumatic conveying system is widely used in carbon black transmission process. Therefore design plays an increasingly important role. As to it, there are many factors affect the performance of pneumatic conveying. Including material properties: packing density, water / oil, particle size, particle distribution, particle shape, particle hardness; gas pressure and its capacity,the specification of the pressure relief valve and its setting pressure,source purity,the throat diameter of Laval,number and location of the valve; tank capacity, etc. At the present time there has not yet formed a complete theoretical and practical design for the operating system. Therefore experimental study provides an effective way for it.In this thesis, I originally innovation a carbon black dense phase pneumatic conveying system based on a systematic and comprehensive review of the past 50 years of research and development of it. Its performance was tested and found out that it do good to the expected target. And study some parameters that affect the performance of the pneumatic conveying system, such as how to make such system to minimize fragmentation rate and how to increase conveying capacity.On the basis of the above test, take the MATLAB neural network systems into the design of the system. And in the first time, it forecast the carbon black broken rate.
