The data warehouse technology is a kind of computer technology which appeared and got rapid development in the recent years in the information field. It can carry out various treatments on primitive operation data, changing them into useful information, fully utilizing the information, analyzing and then making strategicaldecisi on. The data mining technology, based in the data of database or data warehouse, is one kind of computer technology which can obtain knowledge, rule or the high-level information, using policy-making tree, nerve network, connection rule and gathering methods.Sand control technology is one of the essential main technologies. In the working of sand control, historical data, the current work data and many kinds of documents and materials exit. How to save and manage these massive data documents and materials effectively as well as how to use these rich data documents and materials to obtain valuable knowledge is an urgent question in the development of sand control in the oilfield.This paper proposes to construct data warehouse in the sand control technology, establishing the data mining system, getting the useful information and obtaining valuable technology in the sand control.This article first systematically introduced the basic concepts of data warehouse technology and the data mining technology, then targeting at the design and implement of data warehouse in sand control. Above this foundation, we study the data mining based in the data warehouse of sand control technology. In the part of the data mining application, grouped data mining technology is used to solve the sand prediction based on the neural net and the optimize of the sand control methods based on decision tree.
