In the process of cementing, displacement efficiency is a key factor tomeasure the quality of cementing and the centralizing degree of casing andthe flow pattern of displacement is also a key factor to determine weather themud be displaced thoroughly. Casing swirl centralizer mechanical devicewhich can not only centralize the case pipe, but also alter annular cement'sflow pattern to form turbulence, which can raise cementing quality.The study about casing swirl centralizer's flow field indicates that casingswirl centralizer can change annulus'displacing flow field to form alternatevelocity peak, and its peak velocity is near the borehole wall, which is favorof flushing the borehole wall. Under the same fin section area, swirlattenuation's curve is better when fin width broaden along radial direction. Asfin section area decreasing, fin effective height increasing, fin length and finangle increasing within certain boundary, the attenuation length totallyincreases. Based on Reynolds number, the relationship between fluidproperty and swirl attenuation can be obtained.According to the study, attenuation length equation involving casing swirlcentralizer's structural parameter and fluid property can be obtained. Considering the affection of annular pressure loss and casing swirlcentralizer's structural parameter, the design considerations of casing swirlcentralizer's placing interval. And the software is programmed for design.
