In recent years, the water jacket furnace had been widely applied in the oil field by its reliability and safety, but the design of the heat-transfer of the heating furnace which was usually estimated by the empirical value always lead to blindness.The heat-transfer between the wall of the heating coil and the crude oil is the bottleneck which restricts the heat-transfer efficiency of the heating coil. Few systemic studies about the heat transfer of the heating coil were reported at present. Even today, we could not find a precise method that was recognized by everybody and tested well.We have finished the design and fixing of the main equipment for the study, completed the study of the heat-transfer property about the white oil and the emulsified white oil with 5%, 10%, 15% water, analyzed the external factors affecting the test results and avoided the effects of them.The results show that, the pressure drop at the import and export of either the white oil or the emulsified white oil fit the pressure loss which has been calculated by the SY/T 0535-94 "The computational method of thermal resistance to Tube Heater well, the convection heat-transfer coefficient which has been calculated by the SY/T 0535--94 The computational method of thermal resistance to Tube Heater of the emulsified white oil and the data obtained from experiment differ greatly while the difference of white oil is small. Besides, we have completed four Yuan linear returns to the data, and have obtained the formula.
