The temperature field during the fracturing process of coal were measured by type TVS-2000MKâ…¡thermal infrared instrument, and the thermal infrared imaging character of the three kinds of coal were got. Combining with the tests, the thermodynamics and energy dissipation process were analyzed. Moreover, the mathematics model during the fracturing process of coal was erected. the method for predicting coal and gas outburst by using the thermal infrared imaging character were studied and demonstrated.Through the experiment of coal uni-axially loaded, We elicited that the stress strain curve of coal is a main reflection of its mechanics character. The stress strain curve of coal had different phases during the loading process.Through the experiment of the radiate temperature field during the fracturing process of coal, We elicited that the temperature increase of coal was connected with its intensity. But the thermal infrared imaging character it represented were influenced by loading velocity, intensity and granularity of coal, fracture property etc.The original coal sample's thermal infrared imaging character are as follows: in the loading courses before the peak value stress the radiate temperature of whole coal external ascended equably, compared with that haven't been loaded, the temperature increased about 0.2 to 0.4 centigrade; After the submit spot there appeared big area radiate high temperature section, while this section foretell the coal's future fracture position. The molding coal samples whose granularities are less than 0.5 mm have the following thermal infrared imaging character: in the loading courses before the peak value stress the radiate temperature of whole coal external changed indistinctly, compared with that haven't been loaded, the temperature increased about 0.1 centigrade; The molding coal samples whose granularities are less than 1.0 mm have the following thermal infrared imaging character: after the coal entered its plastic distortion the temperature field change into high temperature strip and low temperature strip, and there appeared small area temperature field.The process of coal fracturing is not a pure process of mechanics but a thermal and power coupling process. The molding coal samples whose granularities are less than 0.5 mm and whose mechanics property are close to the third and fourth type coal on location which is prone to outburst have distinct thermal infrared imaging character. Therefore, It is feasible to forecast no-contact of coal and gas outburst by the thermal infrared imaging character during the fracturing process of coal.
