There are two kinds of electric control system about Mining Electric Locomotive : one is contacting electric control system, the other is pulse speed regulation system. The pulse speed regulation system is still widely used in mining electric locomotive, in which the SCR is used as main components. The SCR is half- controlled model component. Its control electrode only can control dredge, but can not control turning-off. SCR can't turn off according to needs once it is turned on when electric locomotive runs at low speed. This makes motor lose control because of bearing full voltage, resulting in running at high speed for electric locomotive. This paper carries out modeling and simulating about main circuit of SCR pulse speed regulation system for electric locomotive based on Matlab software, also analyzing in detail key components which affect security operation. The result of simulation demonstrates that SCR pulse speed regulation system of electric locomotive exists security hidden danger. With the rapid development of electric industry, a new type full- controlled model component(IGBT)starts to be widely applied in industry. If pulse speed regulation system of electric locomotive adopts full- controlled model components in place of half- controlled model components, it will simply control circuit in some sense. The structure of new type control circuit is simple so as to achieve digital control. This paper analyzes the principle of speed regulation about IGBT at first, then adopts IGBT and PWM SG3525 as main components to designs reversible and automatic speed regulation system of double ring-closed and carry out experiment identification of this system at last. The result of experiment demonstrates that this system is superior to SCR pulse speed regulation system. Also this system runs stably and is conveniently achieved reversible control.
