The High-speed Cutting Technology And Its Application In The Dies And Moulds Machining

HSC (High Speed Cutting) has been widely used in aerospace, automobiles and mold Machining industry because its advanced manufacturing technology. High Speed Milling is an important component of the High Speed Cutting processing. But there are many practical production problem as for the less of actual processing and experience research, Process optimization are based on the lack of supporting study for High Speed Milling and High Speed Milling mechanism, and could not make full use of the advantages of High Speed Milling. According to the needs of optimization of High Speed Milling Process for mould producing in TONGLING TRINITY Moulds Company, the paper has thorough theory and experiment study research for the cutting force, selecting and using for cutter material, and the key technology of High Speed Milling to mould making, the study result has important actual significance for selecting technological parameter and lowering production costs.the main thesis of the paper includes:1 ),The influencing factors are thorough studied for cutting force of die steel 3Cr2Mo(P20) combining theory and the experiment research , and carried out the affecting factor with grade-difference analysis to cutting force such as cutting speed , feed speed (feed amounts of every tooth) , axial cutting depths, cutting depths of radial direction. Therefore, it can provide the theory basis for processing optimization of High Speed Milling.2 ),To discuss the function and applicability field of cutter material in common using, and then pointing out that the mates of cutter material and workpiece-material is the key for material selecting and using of high speed cutter.3 ),Brought forward the key technology about making mould products applying the HSC processing, including the purchasing for machine tool, the CAD/CAM system of selecting and using, the plan of cutter route leaking and so on. Then, indicated that HSC technology could resolve the actual inefficient problem in mould company, and confirmed the prospect applying advantage of HSC. So, the HSC technology must bring gigantic economic effect to enterprise.
