Numerical Control High speed cutting process technology is high efficient and accurate for the basic characteristics. It is one of the advanced manufacturing technologies of the world in recent 20 years. High speed cutting process not only can greatly improve production efficiency, but also to significantly improve the surface quality.In this paper, "high speed cutting process theory" is the basis. And Theory with the actual situation is as the starting point. It expounds on the definition, merits, development trends, Research and application and the key technologies of high speed cutting process. It also discusses the materials, structures, the current state of development of high speed cutting tool, and under the principle of matching of the high speed cutting tool materials and processing object (mainly the mechanical properties of Physical and chemical properties of the two),It fully explains the choices of high-speed cutting tools. On the analysis of high speed cutting process surface's characteristics, It goes to study the processing surface quality of different materials. And it adopts experimental methods to test the processing surface quality through spindle speed and feed speed other cutting Conditions in high speed cutting machines.The paper also goes to research the tool path design, the ways of tool feed motion/withdrawal motion and tool path generation method of the high speed cutting process. It analyzes the optimization of the processing path detailedly. It analyzes specially and compares the integrated system of the traditional CAD/CAM/CNC and the modern high speed cutting CAD/CAM/CNC based on the STEP standard.
