| Steel-backed Al-28Pb bonding plate is a series of new composite material. It has perfect performance and can meet the demand of the engine bearing material. So it is widely used in the industrial fields. For settling problems of steel-backed Al-28Pb bonding plate such as segregation of macro organization and lower interfacial strength, we did studies on bonding of steel-backed Al-28Pb bonding plate by the method of semisolid casting-rolling bonding in this paper. The main contents were described as follows.1. The research on preparing semisolid Al-28Pb slurry was carried out. The semisolid Al-28Pb slurry was gained by improved mechanical stirring apparatus. The relationship between solid fractions of Al-28Pb slurry and stirring time, and the relationship between solid fractions and size of Pb grain were got. The conditions of eliminating macro-segregation were determined.2. The research on bonding parameters of steel-backed Al-28Pb semisolid casting-rolling bonding was carried out. We manufacture steel-backed Al-28Pb bonding plate by the casting-rolling experimental equipment. The relationship between preheat temperature of steel plate and interfacial shear strength, the relationship between solid fraction of mushy Al-28Pb alloy and interfacial shear strength, and the relationship between rolling speed and interfacial shear strength were studied respectively. The rational bonding parameters were determined.3. The research on interfacial structure and property of steel-backed Al-28Pb bonding plate was carried out. The influence of interfacial structure on interfacial property was studied. And the reasonable interfacial structure was determined.By above studies, we eliminated macro-segregation of semisolid Al-28Pb slurry, optimized bonding parameters of steel-backed Al-28Pb semisolid casting-rolling bonding, and manufactured steel-backed Al-28Pb bonding plate which has higher interfacial strength.
