With the electronic devices widely used, protecting person's health from electromagnetic pollution and protecting information security from electromagnetic wave leaking become a serve problem to be solved. Composite electromagnetic interference shielding coatings are of expansive research and development anticipation to high efficiency, broad frequency, low cost, long service life and easy application. Nano carbon tube becomes a new type electromagnetic absorbent, due to its tiny dimension effect, surface effect and quantum effect. The composite materials with broad frequency, light weight and good shielding effectiveness are expected to have a bright future in applied fieldsDifferent molecular weight acrylic resins as the base of conductive coating have different conductivity. The relationship between the conductivity and shielding effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding paint and nano carbon tube treated with different coupling agents and contents were studied in this paper. The good dispersion ability of carbon tube in the resin can be obtained with carbon tube treated with the 4% mass content of titanate coupling. Acetate ester has been choosed as the main solvent as its solvency and volatility. The mullers and dispersion media have been discussed in this paper. The process of dispersion is determined as dispersed for 2.5 hours at the speed of 1500rpm.The shielding effectiveness of the electromagnetic coating could be achieved up to 30dB within the frequency of 10KHz-18GHz when different kinds nano carbon tubes added in the coating. The electromagnetic shielding materials were reviewed.Shielding coating shows superior performance in the different physical tests according to standards as required, for instant, adhesion, pencil hardness, salt fog test, damp heat teat and fungus test. It provides an important reference to the shielding of the electromagnetic coating in the practice.
