This paper studies the FTSC thin slab continuous casting technology of TangShan iron and steel Corporation to deep extent, especially to the inclusive problem. Thin slab exist severe crack problem and find lots of big inclusion in cross crack through electron microscope. Therefore inclusion is still an important problem of thin slab quality. This paper embark on inclusion to do experiments and theoretical analysis. Taking sulfur marking experiment after sampling to TangGang thin slab, observe no obvious segregation on the surface. Then quantitative analysis is done to inclusion with the multiple purpose metallograph microscope and draw the inclusive content distribution figure in different part. Qualitative analysis was given by KYKY-2800 flying electron microscope, Ca,Si,Al,Zr etc. are the main elements of the inclusion. Now we can deduce the flux and the liquate of the submersed nozzles are the source of the inclusion.Mold is the heart of continuous casting engine, and the aim of the mold metallurgy is to remove inclusion and to improve the quality of the steel. The distribution of steel current field in concreting shell in the mold has great influence on behavior of the inclusion. Therefore, this paper also establish concreting passing heat mathematic model of the thin slab mould and analyse the influence of immerging water gap to the current. And find appropriate water gap shape, size and inserting depth. More successful imitation has done to the funnel mold current field.Through above experiments, it studies inclusive distribution and character, flow field of the mold. According to these, it bring out series of improving measures to the problem of inclusion and studied the distribution and character of TangGang thin slab, which has great influence to improve the quality of thin slab.
