The steeply dipping seam refers to the coal seam that the declining angle is between 35°and 55°. It is an important part in strip mining research to decide the reasonable width ofsteeply dipping seam strip coal pillar under village. The dipping of coal seam is one of themost important factors that can decided the acquirement of the coal pillar width, thedestruction form, the surface migration and distortion degree. As the steeply dipping seamgeological condition and the destruction mechanism and easy dipping coal seam strip miningare obviously different, the stress of pillar is also different from the easy dipping coal seam.The coal resources reserves of our country is rich in the west and in the eastern part miningarea, the "superior" coal seam reserves are more and more less, in these areas. The miningquestion of steeply dipping seam is increasingly extrude, which arose great importance of thesteeply dipping seam mining and need to conduct the comprehensive research on remainingreasonable pillar width, thus this research had an important theory significance and thepractical value. This article is based on the strip mining of steeply dipping seam under villageof 230 mining area in Ge Ting coal mine of ZiBo mining group, in view of the steeply dippingseam mining under the mining geological condition of 230 mining area, we use the limittheory, the A.H.Wilson pillar intensity theory and the integrated anlysis to determine the stripmining parameter under the specific condition, at the same time, we carry on the numericalsimulation according to the project of strip mining under village in 230 mining area, and weresearch the factor that the obliquity, the mining rate influenced the pillar width. The resultindicated that, this method to decide strip mining parameter by integrated analysis is reliablehighly, it is one economical feasible method and has a good application value, it also hasimportant reference value regarding the mining area that has similar geological and the miningcondition.
