Established a sound mine ventilation system is the basic guarantee for the safety production of the mine. Mine ventilation system is one of the critical factors which reflect the design quality and level of the mine and it has a long-term impact to the producing appearance and economic efficiency of the mine.Maken iron mine is located at the south of Longyan city of Fujian province. The exploitation scope is from 300 meter to 530 meter level. In order to insure the mining production with high safety and efficiency currently and in the future, it is necessary to build a reliable mine ventilation system. At present, both the west air pit and the main bit is under construction. But the mine ventilation system still has some problems and some compatible ventilation constructions must be built.Accordingly, the main design and the research work of this project are as follows.⒈Based on a literature search, the brought and hazard of air pollutions within the mines, the state of the art of the theory and technical of mine ventilation, the principles, contents and points of the mine ventilation system design, the mine ventilation networks analysis and optimization, the evaluating indicators of the mine ventilation system were summarized at first.⒉Introduce the characteristic, utilize and dominance principle, measuring method and calculation procedure, and establish a calculation procedure.⒊Then, the hydrological and geology conditions, the mine developing and transporting system, methods of the mine, system of the mine ventilation system were described.⒋A great number of field measurements were conducted in the mine ventilation system and a lot of basic data and relevant information were collected. Accordingly, the mine ventilation system was assessed comprehensively and some problems were pointed out.⒌Depending on analyzing and treating the collected data, the digital model of the mine ventilation system was set up, which including more than 200 branch parameters, all node relation, natural ventilation pressure calculation.⒍Three ventilation plans were put forward and all of them were analyzed in computer by using a multi-function network analysis software.⒎The plan of mine ventilation system was decided and the optimizing schemes and measures which should be adopt recently were designed, and draw a ventilation of mine network three-dimensional emulation picture.
