Study On Web-based Expert System For Wood Drying

Wood drying is one of the important parts during wood processing. As the lack of technical training and expert guidance for workers, etc, drying defects and timber downgrade are appear, and further losing economic of wood industry. With the forest resource scarcity, these issues become more and more serious, and powerful wood drying platform is in need. The purpose of this research is to build a sharing information platform of wood drying information consulting and exchanging. A web-based expert system for wood drying are based on the existing wood drying technical achievements, expert experience, expert system technology, and network technology. In this article, the interrelated theoretic foundation and professional technology of the system establishment were analyzed, and then the structure of the system and achievement process was designed and explained, respectively. Otherwise, a summary of this research and some advices of the system research have been given.The mainly function for users is to obtain wood drying technology and related knowledge from this system. Users can search wood drying information and even initiate questions in order to get answers form the experts, and other functions in the system were given. The knowledge database tends to self-improve with the running of the system. The whole system is a B / S framework having a good human-computer interface and can be used at anytime and anywhere. This system built with PHP and easy to debug, maintain, expand and transplant.
