An automatic generation expert system for extraction face technology and safe measures is designed and implemented with VC++6.0 in this paper. It is Known as "EFTSMES". The system contains such subsystem as fully mechanized coal mining face, fully mechanized ripping face and literature search, etc.A useful model is constructed in object-oriented programming language according to requirements of the design. This model is mainly based on production rule, which combines representation and reasoning of procedure.On the basis of object-oriented knowledge representation, the model supports proposition object, predication object and procedure object as basic elements of production object. EFTSMES provides a good interface on knowledge representation, which can express some complex knowledge. It encapsulates several kernel components of expert system, such as knowledge base and Inference Engine.By using this model, the expert system solves such problem as design and predicting involved in the system effectively. It is proved with application of W1S707 working-face of Xiaonan mining that the Expert System of extraction Face Technology and Safe Measures can realize inquire and edit for technology and safe measure of Extraction working-face .
