Resource Status Quo And Ecosystem Service Evaluation For The Wetlands In Yellow River Delta

Named Kidney of the earth and storeroom of species gene, wetland ecosystem is the one with the highest service value and the most biodiversity in global ecosystems. Due to the ratherly late start of wetland study, man knows little about wetland's functions and values, which leads to the shrinkage of both the quantity and the quality of global wetland. Since 90s, wetland study and protection have stepped onto a new stage, and wetland ecosystem service evaluation has become a hot academic problem. The premise of scientific evaluation of wetland ecosystem services is the investigation of wetland resources' status quo, and the study towards wetland structure and functions.On the basis of Landsat TM data, the study uses remote sensing technology to investigate the wetland resources in Yellow River Delta. Firstly, classify the Delta into woodland, farmland, wetland, town and desolate land, hold comparison of the land use structure among five counties. Secondly, classify wetland into twelve types, compare and analyse the wetland structure and special distribution among five counties. Thirdly, with the data of wetland resources in 1981, 1990 and 1998 from other source, analyse the dynamic changes of wetland structure, the driving force and the impact of these changes toward wetland ecosystem. Finally, on the basis of the study of Costanza on ecosystem service evaluation, evaluate three products and seven ecosystem services of Yellow River Delta wetland.(1) The total area of Yellow River Delta wetland is 183995.5 hm~2, which occupies 27% of the total area of the Delta; Hekou County has the largest wetland area; Kenli and Dongying are the next. Hekou has the highest proportion of wetland area; Kenli and Dongying are the next, in direct proportion with the wetland area in five counties.(2) With the order of area proportion from the highest to the lowest, stands seashore wetland, shrimp field wetland, salt filed wetland, river wetland, reed marsh wetland, rice paddy wetland, reservoir wetland, tideland wetland and shallow sea wetland. (3) The Delta wetlands disseminate themselves from the center of the Delta, in the direction of north, east and southeast, in the shape of a fan with hiberarchy.(4) The total area of wetlands and the area of seashore are increasing, the area of shrimp field and salt field increases rapidly; however, the area of reed marsh decreases year by year and the area of rice paddy began to decrease from 90s. The proportion of man-made wetland is increasing, yet that of natural wetland is decreasing.(5) The total value of wetland products and ecosystem services of the Delta is 122.44×10~8 yuan, that's 66545.11 yuan/ hm~2. The value of wetland products is 6.03×10~8 yuan, and that of wetland ecosystem services is 116.41×10~8 yuan. The value proportion of waste processing is 46.2%, that of erosion control is 23.5%, research and culture is 9.8%, water supply is 9.0%, entertainment is 6.3%, refuge is 3.4% and gas adjustment is 1.8%.
