The SBR(Sequencing Batch Reactor) process is one of the most important processes in the wastewater treatment of our country .On treating the organic sewage , the SBR process has advantages of the flexibility in treating mode , reliable and stable effluent . The paper summarized the features of the SBR process and some improved versions in recent years .Based on the characteristics of the kinetics theory of activated sludge in SBR ,such as Monod mode, Lawrence-McCarty mode and activated sludge model ASM1,ASM2,ASM3 issued by IWA (the International Water Association),the paper chose ASM3 as the model describe the kinetics relation in the SBR process ,combined with material circulation in SBR , established simulation model with the SIMULINK tool of MATLAB, and checked it out in experiments .To use the wastewater automatic treatment system(brief as WATS) act as a SBR to treat organic wastewater compounded by lab, the concentration of COD,DO,SS in the SBR and modeled data are analyzed. By adjusting some kinetics parameters of the simulation model ,the simulation output come to the actual data with a relative error of 5%, this convince that the simulation model can closely irritate the fluctuation of those three factors in the operation procedure of SBR.
