Along with the rapid development of production and science and technology , the request to the precision of the measuring, the efficiency of the measuring and the automatic degree of measuring is also more and more high. The traditional detection technology is very difficult to adapt this kind of request, therefore the image measurement system based on CCD image sensor technology has been developed. In the past 20 years, the CCD technology applies military and civil fields widely. The applications of measuring and monitoring are more and more popular.In this paper, the high-accuracy measurement of small size diameter and edge is discussed with the linear CCD-TCD1501D.The composition of optics system and the solutions to deal with the output signal of CCD are confirmed through the analyses of the linear CCD system. When the accurate measurement system based on the linear CCD is irradiated by parallel light , linear CCD output signals. After amplification,filtering and binarization ,the signals is inputted into MCU . The collection and processing of the data is completed by MCU . In order to reduce the measurement errors, The measured data is calibrated by linear fitting. Finally, the multinomial least square method is applied to fit the collected data of edge, then the 2D edge of longitudinal section is reconstructed.The tests of measuring indicate that the measurement solution with the linear CCD has some advantages of high-accuracy, non-contact comparing with the traditional measurement method.
