Through the four-step reactions includingamidization, diazanylsubstitution, cyclocon densation, and hydrolysis, two new organic heterocyclic ligands: 3-chloro-6-(3,5- dimethy-1H-pyra-zolyl)-N-phenylpicolinamide and 6-(3,5-dimethy-1H- pyrazol-1-yl)picolinic acid were synthesized via the macrwave and routine method. And ten intermediates and four monocrystals were synthesized. Twenty new coordination compounds have been synthesized by the reaction of 3-chlor-o-6-(3,5-dimethy-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)picolinic acid and 6-(3,5-dimet -hyl-1H- pyrazol-1-yl) picolinic acid with metal cations. These complexes were characteri -zed by means of elemental analysis, IR, X-ray single crystal diffraction, TG-DTA, etc. Some properties of the compounds were studied.Five coordination compounds [Cu(C11H9ClN3O2)2]·4(H2O)(1),[Mn(C11H9ClN3O2)2]·2(H2O)(2),[Ni(C11H9ClN3O2)2]·4(H2O)(3),[Co(C11H9ClN3O2)2]·2.5(H2O)(4),[Cd(C11H9ClN3O2)2]·4(H2O)(5) were synthesized. The X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the metal cationsare six -coordinated by N and O from two 3-chloro-6-(3,5-dimethy-1H-pyrazo-lyl) picolinicacid.These molecules are assembled by hydrogen bonds into supramolecular system with 3-D structure.Six coordination compounds [Cd(C22H20N6O4)]·3H2O(6),[Cd(C22H20N6O4)]·1.75H2O(7),[Zn(C22H20N6O4)]·3.5H2O(8),[Zn(C22H20N6O4)]·3H2O(9),[Co(C22H20N6O4)]·3H2O(10),[Mn(C22H20N6O4)]·3H2O(11) were synthesized. The X-ray diffraction analysis showed thatthe metal cations are six-coordinated by N and O from two 6-(3,5-dimethy-1H-pyrazol-1-yl) picolinic acid. These molecules are assembled by hydrogen bonds into supramolecular system with 3-D structure.Two coordination compounds [Cu(C11H10N3O2)(C7H5NO4)]·2H2O(12),[Ni(C11H10ClN3O2)(C7H5NO4)]·2H2O(13)were synthesized. The X-ray diffraction analysis showed that thecomplexes have the same structure. The metal cation is six-coordinated by three N, three O from two different ligands with two uncoordination water molecules. The compounds have 3-D layer structure construced by many of hydrogen bonds.Four coordination compounds [Ni(C11H13N3O2)2][(N(C11H13N3O2)(SCN)2(H2O))][14],[(C11H13N3ClO2)2Mn]·2(C7H4N2O6)(15),Zn[(C11H13N3O2)(H2O)Cl](16),Co[(C11H13N3O2)(SCN)(H2O)](17)were synthesized. The X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the metal cation-s are six-coordinated or five-coordinated by N and O from two or three different ligands. These molecules are assembled by hydrogen bonds into supramolecular system with 3-D structure.The supramolecular compounds with ligand of 6-(3,5-dimethy-1H-pyrazolyl) picolinic acid were prepared. Three coordination compounds [Gd(C33H30N9O6)]·5(H2O)(CH3OH)(18),[La(C11H10O2N3)2(NO3)(H2O)2]·(H2O)(19),[(C33H32N9DyO7)]·3H2O(20)were synthesized.The X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the metal cations are eight-coordinated, nine-coordinated or ten-coordinated by N and O. In (18), the metal cation is nine-coordinated by four N and three O from three 6-(3,5-dimethy-1H-pyrazol-1-yl) picolinic acid, In (19), the metal cation isten-coordinated by four N and six O from two 6-(3,5-dimethy-1H- pyrazol-1 -yl )picolinic acid, two water and one Nitrate, In (20), the metal cation is eight-coordinated by four N and four O from three 6-(3,5-dimethy-1H-pyrazol-1-yl) picolinic acid and one water. These molecules are awwembled by hydrogen bonds into supramolecular system with 3-D structure.
