Coal powder preparation system is used widely in metallurgy, mine, electric power, cement and so on, which is important in industy production. Traditional control system has characteristics of a few I/O points, manual measure, manual operation. With the enlargement of production scale and enhancement of product unceasingly, the operation and management of control system have difficulties because of the quicker processing speed needed, manual operation not satisfing complex control demand, big error of manual measure, backwardness equipments and low safety of traditional system. Therefore, this paper, from both practical and experimental perspectives, developes and simulates coal powder preparation control system. The main research achievements are as followings:According to the production process and control demands of the system, the overall project design scheme of system based on industry PC plus industry ethernet web plus PLC is proposed for the case of many kinds of equipments and lots of I/O points and high safety request of control system.Based on the overall project design scheme, hardware part and software part of the system are designed. In the hardware part, the control principle diagram is designed, the system is divided into the scene level, the intermediate level, the monitoring level according to the function. Scene level including measurement equipment shaping, mill control system design, electrically operated implementing actuator design, rotor scale design. The intermediate level has designed the PLC hardware and the power source supply. The monitoring level has designed the control system communication hardware. In the software design part, the system has selected control software, configuration software, the communication software, has designed the PLC control procedure, the monitoring picture, as well as has designed the communication software.A math model of coal powder preparation system is established. Then a fuzzy PID controller is designed, and the entrance minus pressure of mill is simulated and researched in matlab by using the fuzzy PID controller and PID controller. The results of modeling and simulation tests show that fuzzy PID controller has good dynamic and static performances.The coal powder preparation system has been applied, and its application demonstrates the high stability, convenient operation and high safety of system, which has certain guiding influence to other control system design.
