For a long time the automobile manufacturers have been looking at the possibilityof using new materials, the Titanium alloy materials of the high strength and highflexibility and the ability to absorb excellent and corrosion resistance arouse theattention of automobile manufacturers. Therefore, the Titanium alloy will becomeincreasingly widely used in automobile industry. Increasing the engine power at thesame time and without losing the strength, reciprocating movement machine shouldminimize the quality. Using the high-strength and heat-resistant Titanium alloys will beable to solve this problem, the titanium alloy use in the engine and have a goodprospects for development. But Titanium alloy belong to hand-to-machine materialcharacter and make the prices of the product too high, restraining the use of Titaniummaterial in motorcar industry .Solving this contradiction, we need research the processof Titanium alloy forging firstly. This paper take TC4 Titanium alloy for an example,we study to preliminary of Isothermal forging process of complex Titanium alloycomponents.We work on TC4 titanium alloy components adopted machining operation,efficient material using is 16.7%, with the price of the Titanium alloy too high, the costof stock material is rise. Adopting the isothermal forging process. We firstly Isothermalforging part profile, lastly correct contour of part used machining operation, thematerial using can be increase to about 40%, production cycle will be rapidly reduced.To achieve the TC4 complex components of isothermal forging, the follow arethe main content of the work in this paper:Firstly, isothermal forging process of components is simulated by DEFORMsoftware. We can understand the process of stress, strain and metal fluidity inIsothermal forging condition, and design Isothermal forging process and stock contourand selection of the test equipment tonnage according these simulate. Secondly, based on a large number of the theoretical research and numericalsimulation, design a set of isothermal forging die.Finally, have a scene test of the isothermal forging and have succeeded in forging,the TC4 complex components are qualified in performance index.
