At present, in order to improve quality and efficiency further in furious competition ,many inland enterprises ,one after the other, introduced all kinds of ink presetting system from abroad .which can pre-adjust ink key in printing machine before it starts working. So that the ink on the first sheet can be consistent with the presswork as soon as possible. But it doesn't work so well in its applications. The main reason is that people don't know this new technology and origin of ink presetting information is inaccurate, moreover the course can be influenced by many factors. Therefore, the research of ink presetting based on JDF has special significance in the development of print. So, an ink presetting method based on JDF digital technology has been proposed and designed under VC++ platform in this paper. With this method, either JDF files or 1-bit tiff files after RIP can be accepted .Based on this information, dot area corresponding inkzone will be obtained and then converted to blade opening after being combined with CMYK transfer curves. Then, pressman can preset ink key with the opening data. Since the effective transmission model of information insures higher precision, the rationality and veracity of inkzone distributing will be improved greatly. Meanwhile, it provides management warrant for the equilibrium of quality among several printing unites, and ensures the digital production and management flow in printing enterprise. It proved that the method has good performance, can shorter make-ready time, reduce paper waste largely, improve quality of printing process greatly. Furthermore, because the presetting data is saved in both JDF and txt files ,it will be more easy to realize sharing of digital information compared with CIP4 ink presetting system. Therefore, it will be more popular in inland print.
