Soybean oil ink uses soybean oil to replace petrolic solvent in traditional ink, which makes VOC (Volatile Organic Chemicals) content of ink reduces from 30%-60% to 15% and it is very benefit to reduce environment pollution and people health. So this project has a very good academic researching significance and application value.Because of the soybean oil belonging to the half-dry oil, some problems occur when soybean oil replaces petrolic solvent in traditional ink, such as dry difficulty, water-ink balance problem. This paper mainly studies on printability of the self-made soybean oil offset ink according to resin selection, vehicles component ,making process and ink component adjusting. In the result the satisfying self-made soybean oil ink is made. The main contents and result are as followings:1. Make the vehicle of the soybean oil offset printing ink, which has solved the dry difficulty problem of the soybean oil.2. Confirm four color process ink components of self-made soybean oil ink according to ink dry and printability experiments, which has solved the problems as lower dry speed,ect and has good characteristics of water-ink balance and printing stability.3. The self-made ink has no petrolic solvent. The VOC content is less than 2% and heavy metal content is less than 2mg/kg,which is far more lower than correlative stands. And soybean oil content exceeds 30%,which is up to the American soybean oil association standard.4. The physical and chemical indexes of self-made soybean oil offset ink such as organic solvent-resistance, acid-resistance, alkali-resistance, are measured and analyzed and the result shows it has superior parameters.
