Calixarens were the third generation supramolecule after crown ether and cyclodextrin.Due to their easy functionalization and strong complexing properties towards cations,anions and neutralmolecules,they have attracted particular interests of numerous chemists in recent years.Functional calixarenes have been applied successfully to biomimetic research and separation science and technology etc.In this paper,calixarene is used as a building block,and a series of calix[4]arene derivatives are designed and synthesized,and their binding properties towards metal cations and anions are studied.In this thesis,we first synthesize calix[4]arene ethanolamide derivative with deep cavity and its Eu3+complex.Their structures were characterized by UV-vis,IR, elemental analysis,ESI-MS,1H NMR,etc.Fluorescence spectrum suggests that the Eu3+complex had good characteristic luminescence.Secondly,a novel biscalixarene with deep cavity was facilely synthesized by "1+1" condensation mode in high yield and exhibit outstanding adsorption property towards Co2+and Pb2+.Thirdly,a novel calixrenne ester devatives with deep cavity was synthesized and show good extraction abilities towards metal cations.
