Calixarenes are the third generation host compound of supramolecular after Crownethers and Cyclodextrin. Calixarenes have their unique cavity structure and many of theeasy-to-response derivative point which attract lots of scientists who have carried out a largenumber of in-depth researches about the synthesis and properties of calixarenes.The calix[4]arene-amino derivatives have not only the property of lipophicity,but goodwater solubility and Lively reaction ability.There are a wide range of research progress aboutthe calix[4]arene-amino derivatives in the field of MRI contrast agent,gold nanopartielepreparation, fluorescent chemical sensorion-recognition and so on. The calix[4]arene-thiolderivatives also reflect their potential applications in identification and modification of thegold nanoparticles.In this paper, we synthesized several calyx[4]arene derivatives and studied and discussedtheir properties.1. at first,according the literature,we synthesized the p-t-butylcalix[4]arene and thecalix[4]arene.2.25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-dibuthoxycalix[4]arene and25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-dipropoxycalix[4]arene were prepared through the reaction between calix[4]arene and1-iodobutane,1-iodopropane respectively. And the two products were characterized by1HNMR spectrum.3.25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-dibuthoxycalix[4]arene;25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-dipropoxycalix[4]arene;p-t-butylcalix[4]arene respectively reacted with1,2-dibromoethane,then we canobtained three new compounds,they were25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-di-(2-bromoethoxy)calix[4]arene;25,27-di(2-bromoethoxy)-26,28-dipropoxycalix[4]arene;25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-di(2-bromoethoxy)calix[4]arene, And the products were characterized by1H NMR spectrum.4. With the above three compounds, we designed to prepare calix[4]arene-aminoderivatives and calix[4]arene-thiol derivatives.
