One of the major environmental problems triggered by Landfill is contamination of leachate, and the key of harmless urban is effective treatment of landfill leachate.ABRR has provided a new way of waste reuse as well as economic, effective leachate treatment. However, ABRR in the use has some problems that the beds need digging up the timely and the renewal and so on to increase projects. Therefore this paper proposed the anaerobic pretreatment, by indoor experimental study discussed the start-up process and properties of ASBR treating leachate, compared the effect of ARBB's treatment under the different temperature condition, to achieve reducing load of the main garbage-processing and extending service life of ARBB.Acclimation experimental study indicated that, compared to mesophilic ASBR, thermophilic ASBR show fewer periods of acclimation and bigger step-up extent by the same inoculable sludge, when start-up, loading rate of thermophilic ASBR was 3.4gCOD/L·d, but loading rate of mesophilic ASBR was 1.6gCOD/L·d. COD removal efficiency was higher 90%, and VFA was under 350mg/L in thermophilic ASBR. Gradually calefaction is more credibility by directly calefaction under mesophilic condition. COD removal efficiency was higher 50%, and VFA was about 700mg/L in mesophilic ASBR.The operating parameters experimental study indicated that, to enhance the organic load caused the removal rate to reduce. The most suitable system volume loading in thermophilic ASBR was smaller than 5.91 kgCOD/(m~3·d), and the most suitable system volume loading in mesophilic ASBR was smaller than 4.5 kgCOD/(m~3·d).Removal effect of Chang An Landfill leachate was very well. When COD of come-into liquid was 7552mg/L and NH3-N 1276 mg/L, COD removal efficiency could reach to 72% under thermophilic condition, and only 54% under mesophilic condition. It indicated that, as the pre-treatment of leachate the reactor under thermophilic condition applying to landfill leachate is more superior to mesophilic condition, and enhance water load of ABRR obviously. The research plays role in control of operational conditions of ASBR treating leachate, and provides a basis for a proper evaluation of role and status of anaerobic sequencing batch reactor in treating leachate.
