Contamination of leachate from landfill which may trigger polution is one of the major environmental problems, effective leachate treatment is the inevitable requirement of garbage harmless. In the current leachate treatment process, anaerobic pretreatment is one of the key links. This paper has carried out experiental study that used the anaerobic sequencing batch reactor (ASBR) on landfill leachate pretreatment which is rising in recent years. On the base of comparative effectiveness research using ASBR of medium temperature and normal atmospheric temperature under domestication.this paper studied the optimal conditions for different temperature ASBR treating leachate, and in the optimal condition,it also studied the degradation mechanism of ASBR treating the refractory organic substances with low molecular in theleachate,so the research results can provide references and draw lessons for the similar technology of treating leachate in landfill. The start-up test of reactor has showed that volume load of reactor achieves up to2.4kgCOD/(m3>d) under the medium temperature and normal atmospheric temperature, in which tha COD removal efficiency under the medium temperature is stable in96%, another COD removal efficiency under the normal atmospheric temperature is stable in93%, effluent VFA and pH values are stable at200mg/L and7.7. It has been showed that ASBR could get better domestication effects using mixed water from leachate and domestic sewage and reducing the frequency and intensity of stirring. The experimental study of degradation mechanism that ASBR reactor treats the refractory organic substances with low molecular in the leachat shows that:the degradation rate is the largest which is up to1.811mg/(L·h) when the initial concentration is146.8mg/L. when refractory small molecular organic matter is at low concentration under the medium and normal atmospheric temperature, the degradation trend presents linear rule. When the concentration is higher, the degradation trend is rapid decrease first, then low decrease to constant degradation rate, and the degradation effect under the medium temperature is better than room temperature. The research findings in the paper not only provides reference for the start and orthogonal analysis of ASBR in the actual process, but also helps promote the in-depth study that ASBR treats the refractory organic substances with low molecular.
