The one-step synthesis of MIBK from isopropanol belongs to the typical asynchronous synergistic reaction process, which contains dehydrogenation reaction, condensation reaction, dehydration reaction, oligomerization reaction and so on, and it constitutes a complex, parallel and train reaction concurrence system. None but isopropanol as the feedstocks, but the product is obviously over acetone- way. The complex of reaction system as well as the sequence of resultant seperation and purification should be considered when it is industrialized. More importantly, on the basis of full knowledge of the characteristic of this reaction, and the utilization of synthesis catalyst to carry out the production, in this way the feedstocks usage ratio is improved, and byproduct quantity is efficiently controlled. This paper researches into the performance analysis of domestic synthesis catalyst of one-step synthesis of MIBK from isopropanol, and explores its eigen and macroscopic performance movement rule along with the time. So that it can provide the basic parameter for the making of industrial operation programme and improvement of catalyst. Second, based on the catalyst analysis result, it explores the influence of technic conditions on reaction. At the same time, the paper researches its feasibility of industrialized operation conditions to offer reference for the increasing of utilization ratio of catalyst, feedstocks and the yield of resultant. The carrying out of this research can not only solve the problems exist in one-step synthesis of MIBK from 1500 t/a isopropanol, but also it fills up the blank in China. And it lays the foundation for the technic development of MIBK.
