Slag is a by-product of the fertilizer gas production processing, seprate the C from slag is the precondition of multipurpose use.The contains of C in slag is 22.65%,its existing form is amorphous carbon.the minerals of the slag are mullite category, quartz and potash feldspar, etc. Analysis them contact angle we can find out: The C's contact angle is increasing with the increasing of collector, the minerals is opposite, so them floatability is more distinguished. As a resultof this. we use the flotation to solve the slag.The result of theoretical analysis shows that: The strong attractive force between Cand collectors interface, but between gangue included in ash slag and collectors is repulsive force , so the collectors can lead to them easiest distinguished in floatability . The ascending condition of bubbles schlepping mineral particlesis D>d.((δ固-δ液)/δ液)1/3。The constraint condition of mineral particles adhering to bubblesfirmly is sinθ>gk3δ液/6γ液气d2+d/4γ液气(2γ液气/R-hgδ液).So in flotation the particles musthave a suitable size.Through flotation, the best optimal particle size is 0.2mm for the d80. compared with the kerosene, light diesel oil and pinitol oil, butanol, octanol, determined the collecter is light diesel oil and frother is octanol. The process course is: In roughing collector (light diesel oil) is 180g/t, bubble agent (octanol) is 200g/t, the flotation time is 5min, the mineral density is 25%, gas filling volume is 0.35 m3/m2 min, the sepration effciency of Newton is 52.6%; in refined light diesel oil is 24g/t, bubble agent (octanol) is 48g/t, the flotation time is 3min, yields of determination C is 83.53%, the recovery is 63.5%. According to laboratory data, the best program for industrial flotation is "a crude, sweeping away and a sperm." The milling equipment is the lattice-type Iongituba ball mill. Flotation machine is XJM-4. According to the actual situation of Shanxi-FengXi-fertilizer plant, analyzed the technical and economic of the flotation system. Its NPV is more larger than zero; Its fixed yield rate nearly 136.1%.So this programe is feasibility.
