The equipment selection is a vital work when the design of new coal preparation plant or renovation of the old coal preparation plant. Choosing the applicable equipment can not only improving production efficiency, optimizing plant layout, but also saving investment, avoiding unnecessary waste to countries or companies. The complexity and uniqueness of coal preparation equipment causes the calculation involved many factors and need to consider cumbersome conditions when selecting the coal preparation equipment. The selection efficiency and accuracy will be improved greatly if could use the computer. The primary intelligent selection of coal preparation equipment will be achieved with the aid of expert knowledge base, equipment database, selection method library and with the help of theoretical knowledge and thoughts of equipment selection.The coal preparation equipment can be divided into eight categories according to the equipment of different coal preparation production process have different intended use: screening machinery, broken machinery, sorting machinery, dehydration machinery, transportation machinery, feeding and preparation machinery, pumps and other equipments. The process and technical indicators, economy, reliability, manufacturer information, energy saving five major evaluation indicators were selected through systematically analyzing selection indicators of different types equipment to establish the evaluation system of equipment selection expert system based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Weight coefficient of each evaluation index was added up by consulting industry experts and first-line production workers with the form of questionnaire. The Tablesorted according to their weights of equipment selection index were obtained according to matrix calculation, and it is a reference for coal preparation designers, leader of coal preparation plant to make decisions.The system of coal preparation equipment primary intelligent selection was established by analyzing functional requirements of coal preparation equipment gallery and combining with the evaluation index system of equipment selection. For this system, SQL Server acts as database, IIS runs as the server-side operating environment and the.NET technology is used to achieve the core of the application software system based on model of B / S structure of internet. The System include four main core functions : management of equipment gallery, management of equipment manufacturers, primary intelligent selection of equipment and an integrated display platform of coal preparation equipment gallery.Finally, this thesis makes a network research of the coal preparation plant computer-aided design software(CPCAD) stand-alone system. The equipment gallery CPCAD was updated manually and regularly combined with the development of coal preparation equipment selection system. CPCAD networked collaborative office is planning achieved with the help of workflow management module of office automation platform developed by the Process Control and Simulation Optimization Institute.
