Technology of machining hardened die steel is hot point in metal cutting nowadays, and cutting force is an important way in researh on metal cutting. Studies at home and abroad mainly focus on the cutting force, cutting temperature, vibration and cutting parameter by the way of machining trial, mathemetic model and numerical simulation etc. This paper mainly researches the characteristic of cutting force in the process of cutting hardened die steel with mirco-end mill, based on different curve tool path, such as line tool path, arc tool path, and parabola tool path. And the same time, builds up the multi-model of cutting force with curve tool path. This paper has positive practical significance and theoretical significance for practical engineering, to reseach on machining hardened die steel with different curve tool path.In this study, the flat end milling ofΦ2 mm coating with TiAlN, which is cemented carbide mill, is adopted to cut 45# hardened die steel(52HRC). The main study includes the following.1. According to machining curve profile experiment, studied the characteristic of cutting force with different cutting parameters. The best cutting parameters under experimental condition are achieved.2. Studied the characteristic of cutting force with different tool path in machining process.The results show that what mainly lead to variate cutting force is the variation of material removal rate by the changing curvature of tool path. And it is secondary factor that the variation of centripetal force caused by the changing curvature of tool path.3. Studied the frequency domain characteristics of cutting force with line tool path and curve tool path in machining hardened die steel by FFT.4. Analysis on the signal of cutting force by wavelet analysis, and studied the characteristics of cutting force with curve tool path based on wavelet analysis.5. Builded up the model of cutting force about the curve tool path, such as mathemetic model, gray model and experience model, and truss multi-model program. The program is of reference significance for practical engineering.
