With the development of the modern society and science technology, there is a higher requirement for the fire-fighting technology. As Halon fire-fighting system severely damages the atmospheric ozone layer, the UN Convention on Environmental Protection has clearly brought up specific targets for the states to replace n-Halogenated fire-fighting agent in the early 21st century. So now searching for an effective alternative technology has become the focus of the research in this field all around the world. As a new environment-protecting fire-fighting technology, the water mist fire-fighting system has the characteristics of non-contamination, low water consumption and little damage to the protecting objects as well as the double properties of gas fire-fighting and water fire-fighting. Therefore, the study on fine mist of the spray, the mist's characteristics and its properties of fire-fighting has great significance in pushing forward the development and the use of the high-pressure water mist fire-fighting technology in our country.This paper firstly introduces some relative theories on water mist fire-fighting technology, on such basis analyses the superiority of water mist fire-fighting mechanism,then designs the water mist experimental devices from the experimental points, and at last, constructs the experimental system of the water mist suppressing the Kerosene oil fire., it further and studies the selection of addictives to the current water mist system The experiment shows that, there is a critical value of pre-burning time for the influence on the fire-fighting: within a certain dimension, the fire-fighting time increases with the increase of the pre-burning time the greater the pressure of the system is, the better effects of the fire-fighting are the working height of the water mist has clear influence on the efficiency of the water mist fire-fighting the fire-fighting efficiency of the water mist which is containing the addictives is higher than that of the pure water mist. Finally, it analyses the data and results of the experiment and suggests the research direction and the developing trend of the system.The study, we can understand the water mist fire-fighting mechanism more clearly. The experimental research in this paper will play a positive role in pushing forward the research and development of the fire-fighting technology in China.
